Ecca Vandal is an artist who breaks genre boundaries. She moves between punk, hip-hop, electronica and pop. Her distinctive expression, fresh style and clear vision have quickly earned her the attention of the local music media and fans craving a fresh sound. She has become the voice of a new generation of musicians who are not afraid to speak out about racial identity, social stereotypes and freedom of expression. But Ecca Vandal was close to music from an early age, growing up in Melbourne, Australia, where she was part of the alternative music scene from a young age.
In 2017 she released her eponymous debut album Ecca Vandalwhich has earned critical acclaim for its lively production, politically engaged lyrics and ability to seamlessly combine hard-hitting guitar riffs with typical club beats. On the album, she worked with producers such as Dan Crannitch and Jason Schroeder, but also appeared alongside bands such as Birds of Tokyo and Hilltop Hoods, with whom she even toured together. She has also made a significant mark in the world of fashion and visual art - her style is as progressive and bold as her music.
Since then Ecca Vandal has performed at leading festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Download Festival, and has guested on recordings by other artists such as Dennis Lyxzén of Refused and Sampa the Great. With songs bursting with energy, honesty and an interest in themes resonating in the contemporary world - Ecca Vandal's distinctive expression, unshakable integrity and constant artistic evolution is one of the most exciting things the alternative music scene has to offer. In Prague they will present not only their hits Future Heroine, BLEED BUT NEVER DIE or In My Mind, but also their new album CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE. Don't miss the show of the musician who is often compared to bands like Limp Bizkit or Halestorm.
