Patrick Wolf will perform his solo electroacoustic set at Kasárna Karlín!
Patrick Wolf emerged as a singer-songwriter and producer at the age of 19 as part of the British experimental electronic music movement of the early millennium, receiving his first production equipment at the age of 15 from Fat Cat Records, followed a few years later by a release on Mike Paradinas' label planet-mu and his debut E. P in 2002 on the Capitol K label, which sent shockwaves across the UK music scene with its bold new sound and first radio play. this would be the start of a decade of groundbreaking albums, artwork and visuals ahead of their time, glamorous world tours and magical collaborations.
Born in London to English and Irish parents in 1983, Patrick studied at a junior music academy as a violinist, violist, harpist and composer, while spending his spare time writing and producing songs in his bedroom studio, sending them out to labels and, at the age of 15, performing his debut solo gig at London's garage club. Before long he was about to share his work with the world, while throughout these teenage years he was creating the work that would form his debut album "LYCANTHROPY". which upon its release in 2003 was received with great critical acclaim in the UK and USA, voted one of the top 100 UK albums of all time by NME.
