Speedy Ortiz, US

10 03 Café In The Woods

Speedy Ortiz began in 2011 as a homegrown solo project of guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Sadie Dupuis, but quickly grew into a full-fledged band that the whole world loves. The band has graced festival stages from Bonnaroo to Primavera to Foo Fighters, and has taken bands like Mitski and Soccer Mommy on some of their first tours. In 2016, the band relocated from Massachusetts to Philadelphia and shortly thereafter the lineup changed, adding sonically inventive guitarist Andy Molholt (Laser Background, Eric Slick), melodic bassist Audrey Zee Whitesides (Mal Blum, Little Waist) and heavy-hitting drummer Joey Doubek (Pinkwash, Downtown Boys). Rabbit Rabbit is Speedy's first album featuring all of the band's long-touring members, and Dupuis and her bandmates are unpredictable, their fearless playing pushing the songs in exciting new directions.
