Belgian five-piece Whispering Sons bring a dark and unique blend of experimental and frenetic post-punk. With their energetic and captivating performances, they have earned a reputation as a must-see band.
In recent years, the band has been slowly but surely redrawing its own boundaries and crossing them. While their debut album "Image" (2018) was theatrical and wide-ranging, their follow-up "Several Others" (2021) focused more on their greatest strength: pure, unadulterated intensity. Following the release of 'Several Others', the band began working on a new album over a two-year period. This third full-length album might surprise longtime Whispering Sons fans. It is less dark than 'Several Others' and less spectacular than 'Image'. Yet that typical Whispering Sons identity is still present in every song, as the band never strays from their raw energy and emotion. The new album may be more upbeat and playful, but that sinister undertone still lingers. The release is scheduled for early 2024 and the band can't wait to show up and play their new music live.
